Who We Are

Cycle Schenectady is a non-profit organization of bicycle enthusiasts whose mission is to educate and advocate for the safe use of bicycles as an affordable, viable, and sustainable means of transportation, recreation, and personal enjoyment within our community.

We envision Schenectady as a place where everyone recognizes and embraces the benefits of cycling, whether they ride or not, and where cycling is a common feature of daily life for everyone. We envision a comprehensive network of bike lanes and trails that enable people in the city, county and region to comfortably, safely and efficiently use a bike for transportation and recreation.

Cycle Schenectady is also the 501(c)(3) partner organization of the Friends of the Mohawk-Hudson Bike-Hike Trail, who are a great group to check out as well!
